It’s been awhile since I last posted on Girl Meets Broadway. Almost two years to be exact. The reason is simple…life and my full-time job got in the way. I may have lost myself and my passion for the stage a little bit too. But, if there is one thing I’ve learned about myself during this time is I need a creative outlet. Blogging, reviewing shows and interviews have always been that outlet for me and I want to get back in to it. So after some soul searching, I’ve decided I’m ready to get back to reviewing shows and conducting interviews with those who make and shape theatre.
I’ll be honest…Girl Meets Broadway may not look the same as it had. I’m not just talking about the aesthetics of the site (I’m looking at making some updates, but more on that later). I’m referring to what I cover on this site. Outside of reviews and interviews of shows in the Twin Cities and traveling Broadway shows, I’m contemplating including coverage of what is happening in New York on Broadway, off-Broadway and what’s in development. Plus, doing some profiles and more in-depth news style articles on what is going on in the industry as a whole. It may work or it may not. That is the beauty of this site. I can try different things and see what is actually possible. Kind of like theatre.
